more product details
The La Aroma del Caribe cigar brand, which comes from the renowned Ashton house, was officially launched in 2003, but its origins probably date back to the late 1880s.
When they were launched, the cigars were manufactured in the Tabacalera Flor de Copan in Honduras. In 2009, Ashton transferred production to Jose Pepin Garcia, who redesigned the series. Today, all La Aroma del Caribe cigars are manufactured in García's factory, and two binders are used, typical of the factory's style. The brand's high quality standards are underlined by the fact that only selected cigar rollers, so-called torcedores, are entrusted with the production of La Aroma del Caribe.
The Duque from Nicaragua in the Mi Amor line from La Aroma del Caribe is a strong, medium-spicy Robusto Gordo format. The series was created in collaboration with Robert Levin, the founder of Ashton Cigars, and master blender José Garcia. The handmade long-filler cigar offers one hour of smoking pleasure with a length of around thirteen centimetres. The flavour profile reveals nutty and sweet tones as well as hints of coffee and earth.
