more product details
The family business Altinay is now run by the third generation. It all started in 1964 when Necdet Altinay founded his pipe workshop in Eskisehir, Turkey. His son Nedim and grandson Said were taught by the master and introduced to the secrets of meerschaum carving. Over time, the business grew. The high quality standards were rewarded and Altinay now exports its pipes worldwide. Meerschaum pipes by Altinay have already been produced under well-known labels such as Andreas Bauer, Rattray's, Dunhill, Peterson, Savinelli, Chacom, Brebbia and Butz Choquin.
Today Altinay is one of the best known and most renowned meerschaum pipe manufacturers.
Large to medium large, handcrafted meerschaum pipe by Altinay. The advantage that a meerschaum pipe provides is a neutral taste accompanied by a dry, cool smoke and high fire resistance. Burning it through is almost impossible.
