Toscano

Legend has it that the Toscano cigar originated in Florence in 1815, when a rain shower soaked a shipment of Kentucky tobacco, which then fermented and was made into surprisingly popular cheap cigars. This tradition led to the current production of the Toscano, which is made from Kentucky pipe tobacco and does not need to be stored in a humidor. After World War II, the cigar was often cut in half ("Toscanello"), earning it the nickname "friendship cigar" and solidifying its international popularity.
