The climatic conditions in the area around Santa Rosa de Copán in Honduras are ideal for tobacco cultivation thanks to their temperate tropical climate, which is why the Mayans already grew tobacco there in their time. Hecho a Mano – the brand's cigars are made entirely by hand in the ‘La Flor de Copán’ factory, which was founded in 1976 by Jorge Bueso. He continues the rich tradition of the country's oldest cigar factory, ‘La Real Factoría de Tabacos’, which was founded in 1795.
