Since 1990, exceptional pipe tobaccos have been produced in a historic, over 100-year-old malt house on the Elbe hillside in Lauenburg.
As a manufactory, DTM Dan Tobacco fills the gap left by industrial mass production: Here, rare tobacco specialties and natural blends are preserved.
Exquisite flakes and blends mature here by hand, using restored, traditional technology, such as venerable tobacco presses of English origin.
The well-stocked raw tobacco warehouse provides the foundation for quality that improves with time. From leaf preparation to packaging, each batch (50 to 400 kg) is handled with passion and expertise.
Killarney is the tourist hub of Ireland's South West. As this region is a popular holiday destination, Killarney has the second highest number of hotel beds in Ireland after Dublin.
Picturesquely situated near Killarney National Park, the town is an ideal starting point for excursions. The landscape is well overgrown and wooded due to the sea location with mountains. Sometimes memories of the Mediterranean come up.
Matching this, the Killarney pipe tobacco is natural and soft. The best Virginias are combined with a little Orient and a touch of Perique.

Kaltgeruch von Dörrobst bis Aprikose hin zum typischen Virginia Tabakgeruch. Nach dem Anzünden kommen dann die ätherischen Öle wie Orangenschale, brotige Noten und eine leichte Vollmilchschokolade zum Vorschein. Der Tabak muß allerdings langsam und bedächtig geraucht werden, sonst treten die feinen Aromen nicht auf.
