Gawith & Hoggarth is probably the most iconic producer of pipe tobacco. The pipe tobaccos are produced using a process that dates back to 1792. Even the same machines are used. Why? This is the only way to reproduce the results of the old methods. This is not possible with new machines.
Additives such as preservatives and humectants are simply not used. Even the subtle toppings come from natural essential oils and extracts. Here you will find tobaccos as pure and "old school" as they can be.
Production takes place in Cumbria in the north of England.
Latakia and chocolate aroma are the distinctive flavor components here. And how well the two complement each other! Various Virginia, Malawi and Malawi Burley meanwhile ensure a cool smoke of medium strength. Rounded off with sweet aromas of vanilla and whiskey.
