When Admiral Nelson sank 20 enemy ships at the Cape of Trafalgar in 1805 without losing a single one of his own, he became a hero and England's number one naval power. As befits a hero, the Trafalgar wears a luxuriously crafted silver ring.
A memorial to Nelson has stood in London's Trafalgar Square since 1842. The lions, the heraldic animal of the Crown and the City of London, can be found as statues around the memorial and also as sterling silver crests inlaid in the mouthpiece of the pipe.
