Rattray's looks back on a long history. It was in 1911 when Charles Rattray, a trained pipe tobacco blender, fulfilled his dream of owning his own pipe shop in Perth, Scotland. Today, the brand with Celtic roots is known for its pipes bearing the Triskele logo and pipe tobaccos, mostly made with traditional Scottish blends.
This pipe sits exceptionally well in the hand and feels wonderful. Its knobby bowl shape features a decorative ring on the stem.
The pipe comes with a short and a long mouthpiece, allowing you to vary the pipe's shape depending on the occasion.
The G version features a graphite insert made in Germany in the bowl. The insert is fireproof, heats up slowly, and cools down slowly. It produces little moisture. It is also flavorless and easy to clean. The buildup of a charcoal crust is therefore neither possible nor necessary. You can also change tobacco repeatedly without worrying about ghosting (flavor transfer to the next filling).
