more product details
Rattray's looks back on a long history. It was in 1911 when Charles Rattray, a trained pipe tobacco blender, fulfilled his dream of owning his own pipe shop in Perth, Scotland. Today, the brand with Celtic roots is known for its pipes bearing the Triskele logo and pipe tobaccos, mostly made with traditional Scottish blends.
The Carnyx is an instrument from the times of the Celts. The carnyx-horn is almost 2 meters in Length: and was used by warriors in ceremonies. These pipes loosely resemble this historic instrument.
Its unique feature is its graphite insert. This is fireproof, neutral in flavor, and produces little moisture. It also heats up and cools down slowly.
Not only does this increase safety and comfort, but it also allows you to try different tobacco varieties one after the other—without the usual resting time for the pipe.
The pipe itself is made of Central American ash wood.
