Rattray's looks back on a long history. It was in 1911 when Charles Rattray, a trained pipe tobacco blender, fulfilled his dream of owning his own pipe shop in Perth, Scotland. Today, the brand with Celtic roots is known for its pipes bearing the Triskele logo and pipe tobaccos, mostly made with traditional Scottish blends.
A recommendable pipe lighter by Rattray's. That conveys first class craftsmanship. The flint ignition is robust and easy to use, thanks to a large roller.
The flint channel can be opened easily and therefore quickly refilled. On the bottom is a little cap located that protects the gas-refill nozzle.

Qualität ist enttäuschend
Leider habe ich genau die gleichen Mängel erfahren müssen. Die Beschichtung löste sich bereits nach kurzer Zeit. Nach zwei Jahren wurde die Flamme immer kleiner. Beim Versuch, diese größer zu stellen, löste sich das ganze Ventil. Wer das Feuerzeug aber nur zwei Jahre benutzen will und der Preis dafür nicht zu hoch ist, mag sich dieses Teil kaufen.
