Rattray's looks back on a long history. It was in 1911 when Charles Rattray, a trained pipe tobacco blender, fulfilled his dream of owning his own pipe shop in Perth, Scotland. Today, the brand with Celtic roots is known for its pipes bearing the Triskele logo and pipe tobaccos, mostly made with traditional Scottish blends.
Rattray's Old Gowrie is a tobacco mixture consisting of Virginia, Kentucky and a hint of Perique. The whole is pressed, ripened, cut and then rubbed by hand.
