Rattray's looks back on a long history. It was in 1911 when Charles Rattray, a trained pipe tobacco blender, fulfilled his dream of owning his own pipe shop in Perth, Scotland. Today, the brand with Celtic roots is known for its pipes bearing the Triskele logo and pipe tobaccos, mostly made with traditional Scottish blends.
Packaged in a handy barrel shape, the Slàinte ("Cheers", "Health") lives up to its name.
The small filling volume is well suited for trying out new tobaccos. The slim mouthpiece without a filter is a perfect match. If you don't have much time and still want a pipe, the Slàinte is also a good choice. But smoking shag is also possible.
