After Rocky Patel sold his law firm, in which he represented well-known Hollywood stars, he traveled to Honduras to pursue his passion, cigars. For five years he learned every arduous step of tobacco cultivation and cigar production.
"Indian Tabac Bend" was the name of his first brand, which laid the foundation for a meteoric career in 1990. He traveled to many countries, built up connections with tobacco farmers, always on the lookout for the best tobacco. His cigars have won numerous prizes and awards and are highly praised in specialist magazines.
With Emerald, Rocky Patel launches a line of box-pressed long-filler cigars that range in strength from smooth to medium.
The blend consists of an Ecuadorian wrapper with a velvety texture and subtle spice. Two binders, one from Nicaragua and the other from Mexico, complemented by Nicaraguan filler tobacco, which has been refined with a single, richly flavored leaf from the Jamastrán Valley in Honduras.
The flavor profile is refined. An intense caramel sweetness at the core is harmoniously balanced by leather, white pepper, and coffee, giving the blend remarkable depth.
Finally, the bright, modern packaging deserves a mention. Green metallic lettering and a strikingly large belly band make a visual statement.
