Founder Tonio Neugebauer launched the label in 2016. The cigars are manufactured in Nicaragua by Plasencia, and the northern German takes care of everything else himself.
Tonio learned the trade of plant mechanic, underwent military training abroad and dared to set up his own business in the field of industrial climbing on wind turbines. In this way, he crossed almost all of Europe. In 2009, in Sardinia, Tonio smoked his first cigar with his work colleague from Wales in his old English pickup truck. A passion was ignited. On his travels, he got to know people and cultures, all united by the desire for peace and enjoyment. The decision was made - the dream of his own cigar brand was to come true.
From hobby to profession, in 2013 he was given the opportunity to smoke and test various cigars at a large online retailer in northern Germany. He founded the company Tonios Tabaco in 2016 with the first brand "Skel Ton - Live your Dreams". In 2023 he once again took the step into self-employment.
The Skel Ton brand cigars are manufactured in Nicaragua by the renowned tobacco company Plasencia. Filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua are used, and these have been stored for up to three years. Two binders are also used, as well as an oily, shimmering Ecuador H2000 wrapper. As you smoke, the long fillers reveal roasted aromas, dark chocolate, coffee and slightly sweet nuances.
The white cigar boxes from Skel Ton Live your Dreams are biodegradable and made from sustainable materials. The climate-friendly boxes are produced in Germany using a paper injection molding process and are in no way inferior to regular wooden boxes.
