The puros in Short Robusto format feature nutty flavours and delicately creamy hints of wood in a Dominican sandwich filler.
Founder Alejandro Lopez was born in Spain in 1866 and emigrated to America at the age of twenty. He worked in tobacco farming in Panama to earn a living and acquire knowledge. In 1910, he settled in the Dominican Republic and founded a cigar factory in the 1920s, which he managed until his death in 1948.
The cigars in Alejandro Lopez's Dominicana Maduro series are Dominican puros. They are handmade sandwich fillers in short robusto format, with a creamy smoke and a woody, earthy aroma that is apparent from the very first puff. Light nutty tones and a subtle hint of pepper, as well as the sweetness typical of maduro cigars, round off the profile. Adorned with a generous belly band and wrapped in cellophane, the cigars are available individually or in bundles of ten.
