The Tsuge pipes can look back on a long history. The pipe maker Kyoichiro Tsuge founded his buiseness in 1936. Interrupted by the Second World War, he continued his production in 1945. Over the decades and with a lot of engagement Tsuge became one of the most renowned pipe manufactories with its Japanese charm and highest quality. Today their company headquarters is located in Tokyo.
The Four Seasons pipe by Tsuge features a matching motif on the pipe bowl.
The pipe was 100% hand-painted in Japan. Using the so-called Urushi technique, the natural lacquer obtained from the resin of the lacquer tree was applied in numerous layers. This gives the motif a special depth and power.
The wood is of particularly high quality to ensure it doesn't detract from the aesthetic appeal.
