Amphora is one of Germany's most traditional pipe tobacco brands. Originally developed in the Netherlands by coffee and tobacco expert Douwe Egberts, the brand looks back on over 250 years of history. Known for its pioneering spirit, Amphora experimented early on with cuts such as flake and special processing techniques like the hot-pressing method.
A medium crudely torn flake made purely from Virginia tobacco. Thanks to ripening the tobacco leaves in a heat press, a complex Virginia with a slight roasting flavour is created.
