more product details
Arturo Fuente founded the "A. Fuente & Co" factory in West Tampa, Florida in 1912. Cigars were successfully rolled by hand there fot twelve years. After a fire the production had stopped. The years passed away and the trained Baker took up the cigar craft again. The family business got off to a slow start but was able to establish locally. So the restart was succsessful an in 1958 the youngest son, Carlos Fouente, bought the business from his father for one dollar. The factory burned down again in 1979 during the Nicaraguan Revolution. In Santiago, in the Dominican Republic, the third attempt should be successful. The Fuente brand is now run by Carlos Fuente Senior and his son Carlos Fuente Junior.
Based on Winston Churchill's statement: "You should do something good for the body so that the soul has the desire to live in it!", Arturo Fuente designed the R cigar line with its magnum formats after a long development phase. Made with a Rosado Sungrown wrapper, which comes from the lower harvest section of the Ecuadorian tobacco plant and then matured for almost 10 years. These delicate leaves give the cigar a complex, yet creamy and smooth taste with a sweet finish. The Rosado Sungrown cigars show off their impressive ring size in their name.
