William “Ashton” Taylor's pipe career began in the young age of 15 as an apprentice in the famous company of Dunhill, London. After years of learning the secrets of pipe making from the masters of Dunhill, he founded the company of Ashton in the 80s and named it after him. The Style of his pipes is classic, British and elegant. Stunning are not only the beauty his pipes, but the inner values as well. Thanks to a special treatment of the briar, the so called oil-curing, Ashton pipes taste especially well. The stem was made of a material that has got the great soft bite-properties of Ebonite, but still has got the easy maintenance of acrylic. Because this material is quite unique, the smokers gave it the name “Ashtonite” . Both the oil-curing and the Ashtonite are secrets of the company of Ashton to this day.
The traditions, techniques and abilities have been handed down by Ashton himself to William Taylor and Jimmy Craig, who contiued his legacy after Ashton's death in 2009.
A pleasant mixture of Virginia and Burley leaves with a share of gentle Black Cavendish.
Due to aging it in a whiskey barrel for a month, the smoker can experience a cool smoke with the aroma of tropical fruits and hickory bitternut.

Macht Regentage angenehm
Ein leckerer Tabak, im Mund und in der Nase. Brennt gut und hat einen wohligen Raumduft. Den fünften Stern gebe ich nicht, weil mir einerseits noch etwas Aromastärke fehlt und von den Whiskeyfässern gar nichts zu riechen/ schmecken ist.

Fruchtig jedoch nicht süss
Der Tabak ist angenehm fruchtig, jedoch nicht zu süß im Mund. Im Raum riecht er sehr lecker. Leider brennt er nicht gleichmäßig ab, eventuell ist er noch etwas zu feucht.

angenehm und recht leicht
herrlich einfach, keine versteckten aromen im tiefgang, alles nach dem zweiten anzuenden sofort da.. sehr schmackhaft, ruhig im glimmen und problemlos bis zum aschenrest. und mich hat bisher noch kein mitraucher mit steinen beschmissn, dvs sehr angenehmes raumaroma.
