more product details
On January 30, 1817, Johann Friedrich Christian André laid the foundation stone for today's Arnold André company. In Bünde in East Westphalia, the former cigar capital of Germany, the company is now run by Axel-Georg André, the 7th generation.
Buena Vista is a private label of the traditional German company, which was first presented at Intertabac 2013. It is produced in the company's own Tabacalera in the Dominican Republic.
The tobacco is harvested when fully ripe, when the first golden yellow colors are visible. The leaves are then air-dried until they shine a rich golden yellow. A second drying process follows. In a special smoke drying process, called Dark Fired Smoke Cured, the tobacco hangs in smokehouses, so-called Barnes, over smoldering oak and hickory wood. This is how the unique roasted and smoke aromas are absorbed. This process originated in the centuries-old tradition of Kentucky farmers.
