On January 30, 1817, Johann Friedrich Christian André laid the foundation stone for today's company. In Bünde in East Westphalia, the former cigar capital of Germany, the company is now run by Axel-Georg André, the 7th generation. He named the latest brand after his youngest son, Carlos André.
The cigars were originally intended as a "homage to the friends of the house" and were not intended for sale.
Cast Off has Desflorado wrappers. The flowers are removed earlier than usual, making the leaves stronger and more aromatic. The tobacco is aged for five years. Cast Off is dedicated to the passion of sailing, specifically to the moment of setting sail.
The Cast Off looks great with its slightly shiny golden brown wrapper. And this cigar is also a highlight in terms of taste. You can expect creamy notes of cappuccino together with earthy, bitter tones and a hint of white pepper.
