On January 30, 1817, Johann Friedrich Christian André laid the foundation stone for today's company. In Bünde in East Westphalia, the former cigar capital of Germany, the company is now run by Axel-Georg André, the 7th generation. He named the latest brand after his youngest son, Carlos André.
The cigars were originally intended as a "homage to the friends of the house" and were not intended for sale.
Manufactured by Arnold André Dominicana in Santiago de los Caballeros, this is a combination of powerful spice and playful sweetness in the format of a cigarillo. The blend consists of a Mexican H 2000 wrapper, filler from Sumatra and Mexico, and filler tobaccos from Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
