Hinter der Marke Chinchaleros steht der britische Zigarrenexperte John Atherton. Er war in den 1990er Jahre bei General Cigar International angestellt und machte sich im Jahr 2002 mit eigenen Zigarren selbstständig. Diese werden vom texanischen Unternehmen Horizon Cigars in der renommierten Manufaktur von Carlos Toraño in Nicaragua mit sorgfältig ausgewählten Tabaken von Hand gefertigt und verbinden traditionelles Handwerk und modernen Genuss. John Atherton, der Gründer des texanischen Unternehmens Horizon Cigars, hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, hochwertigen Zigarrengenuss zu erschwinglichen Preisen anzubieten – was ihm mit der Marke Chinchaleros sehr gut gelingt.
The Chinchaleros Torcidos series offers handmade long fillers from Nicaragua with a distinctive appearance. The spiraling of two Nicaraguan wrappers, light Connecticut and coffee-brown Maduro, creates this highlight and gives the cigars even more depth of flavor. Inside is a filler of Nicaraguan Jalapa and Ligero tobacco, surrounded by an Indonesian Sumatran binder. The harmonious, spicy aroma combines notes of cedarwood and coffee with the characteristic sweetness of the Maduro wrapper. The Gordo from the line offers up to 60 minutes of aromatic, creamy smoking pleasure.
