Since 1990, exceptional pipe tobaccos have been produced in a historic, over 100-year-old malt house on the Elbe hillside in Lauenburg.
As a manufactory, DTM Dan Tobacco fills the gap left by industrial mass production: Here, rare tobacco specialties and natural blends are preserved.
Exquisite flakes and blends mature here by hand, using restored, traditional technology, such as venerable tobacco presses of English origin.
The well-stocked raw tobacco warehouse provides the foundation for quality that improves with time. From leaf preparation to packaging, each batch (50 to 400 kg) is handled with passion and expertise.
This tobacco consists of a pure Virginia from Mysore in India without flavor additives. The high sugar content ensures a wonderful sweetness. The bouquet is slightly flowery. Gently fermented in the press. After maturing storage, the ready-to-smoke preparation took place as Ready Rubbed
A mix tobacco that is also suitable for pure smoking. It forms a perfect base for Virginia blends or can be added to finished blends.

Leicht und angenehm, aber nicht "richtig" süß!
Nur "Pur" geraucht! Leicht, sehr leicht und alles andere als eine Zuckerbombe! Zerrissener Flake, man muss mehrfach anfeuern, obwohl der Tabak nicht sehr feucht ist. Oder aber den Tabak noch mehr zerkleinern, spätestens dann ist auch ein größerer Pfeifenkopf zu empfehlen. Und nochmal: Er ist nicht zu süß (davor wird immer gewarnt), er ist irgendwie ein etwas anderer Virginia. Von Aroma-Beigaben merkt man nichts, aber er schmeckt auch so! Nicht schlecht, und der Preis stimmt auch...
