Dirk Heinemann is one of the most renowned pipe makers of our time internationally. He comes from near Hanover, where his workshop is also located. He began making pipes at a young age. He completed an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker and then studied product design for five years at the University of Hanover, graduating with a diploma. This provided him with the ideal foundation for the high-quality technical production of pipes and their interesting, aesthetic design.
All of Dirk Heinemann's pipes are entirely handcrafted. From the initial ideas, designs, and drawings, through the selection of the briar, the carving of the basic shape, the drilling, the final polishing, the handcrafted embellishments, and the mouthpieces made by hand from solid material, each pipe is a unique, individual piece with exceptional smoking qualities.
If the briar is left natural, as is the case with this Heinemann, the pipe will get an individual color after use. The wood becomes a little darker and is given a distinctive look. The Dublin Shape is good and light in the hand. The sandblasting is pleasantly soft and produces a nice ring grain. The application made of light olive wood is perfect.
Dirk Heinemann is an internationally known pipe maker from a small town near Hanover. After he finished his carpenter training Dirk studied product design for five years at the university of Hanover. He finished his training with a masters degree.
With every pipe you will get a blueprint drawing of the pipe with the seal and signature of Dirk Heinemann pipes.
