Gawith & Hoggarth is probably the most iconic producer of pipe tobacco. The pipe tobaccos are produced using a process that dates back to 1792. Even the same machines are used. Why? This is the only way to reproduce the results of the old methods. This is not possible with new machines.
Additives such as preservatives and humectants are simply not used. Even the subtle toppings come from natural essential oils and extracts. Here you will find tobaccos as pure and "old school" as they can be.
Production takes place in Cumbria in the north of England.
An aromatic, gentle blend of sweet Virginias, strong Burley and double-fermented Black Cavendish. Refined with a little Scotch whisky and, as a harmonious addition, gentle notes of vanilla and caramel.
