Founded in Berlin in 1956 by Dr. Manfred Obermann, the Planta tobacco manufactory has stood for generations for Berlin's traditional craftsmanship and creative blends.
After 63 years of successful business, managing directors Nils Obermann and Lukas Stiller decided in 2019 to cease production in Berlin due to increasing regulatory requirements.
The Mac Baren Tobacco Company took over the production of popular brands such as Danish Black Vanilla and Holger Danske, using the original recipes. Since mid-2024, this portfolio has been part of the Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), thus ensuring the continued high quality and diverse range of flavors for connoisseurs worldwide.
