The La Aroma del Caribe cigar brand, which comes from the renowned Ashton house, was officially launched in 2003, but its origins probably date back to the late 1880s.
When they were launched, the cigars were manufactured in the Tabacalera Flor de Copan in Honduras. In 2009, Ashton transferred production to Jose Pepin Garcia, who redesigned the series. Today, all La Aroma del Caribe cigars are manufactured in García's factory, and two binders are used, typical of the factory's style. The brand's high quality standards are underlined by the fact that only selected cigar rollers, so-called torcedores, are entrusted with the production of La Aroma del Caribe.
The La Aroma del Caribe Connecticut series embodies smooth elegance and artisanal perfection. For its remarkable flavor balance, the carefully selected Nicaraguan tobaccos from Estelí, Jalapa, and Condega undergo a triple fermentation process. Wrapped in a fine Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, this blend offers a smooth to medium-bodied smoking experience. The complex flavor profile combines intense notes of roasted almonds, cashews, and freshly ground coffee with cedarwood and a buttery finish. Produced by the renowned My Father Cigars, this series (known in the USA as "Aroma de Cuba") has been available in Germany since summer 2025 and has been awarded 92 points by Cigar Aficionado.
