PDR - Pinar del Rio, that's the name of a province in western Cuba. However, the tobacco for the cigars does not come from the famous growing region in Cuba, but the seeds do. The brand's cigars are made in the Tabacalera in Tamborli, not far from Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic.
Abraham "Abe" Flores, a native of New York, spent his youth with his grandfather, who was a tobacco farmer in the Dominican Republic. Back in the United States, he studied marketing. But he returned to tobacco via a detour. The job search took him to the marketing department of a cigar retailer, where he managed the online shop. There he made contacts with cigar manufacturers. After a few years, the opportunity arose to take over a small Tabacalera. In Tamborli, he started the Tabacalera PDR Cigars in 2004.
The PDR sampler combines four Robusto formats from different series from the renowned Pinar del Rio manufacturer. These are in transparent tubes.
