more product details
The history of Perla Del Mar dates back to 1905, when the Perfecto Garcia Brothers made their cigars from Cuban tobacco from the family farm and named them after the Caribbean waters. Perla del Mar quickly rose to become a leading premium cigar brand and expanded with a manufacturing facility next to JC Newman's El Reloj factory in Ybor City, Florida.
In 2012, JC Newman revived the Perla Del Mar brand, paying tribute to the historical legacy of these early 20th century premium cigars. Matured tobaccos from four Nicaraguan regions are used - Pueblo Nuevo, La Reina, Condega and Jalapa. They are combined with a soft, creamy Ecuadorian Shade (Shade), Connecticut Broadleaf (Maduro) or robust Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper leaf (Corojo) to create a complex, harmonious flavour. The final pressing ensures that the flavour develops perfectly.
Perla Del Mar cigars are made from Nicaraguan tobaccos. The Shade series is enclosed in a light Ecuador Connecticut Shade wrapper. These box-pressed vitolas are classified as medium strength. As you smoke, you'll experience a pleasantly soft and mild flavor, accompanied by delicate nutty and cocoa notes, as well as herbal and floral notes. The Toro format accompanies you for approximately 90 minutes of enjoyment.
