Poul Winsløw was born 1951 and already began in young years with the crafting of pipes. As an apprentice of Preben Holm he refined and extended his skills whilst developing his distinctive style.
After Preben Holm had to close his workshop due to medical reasons, Poul went into self-employment and created pipes under his own name. Today his reputation is legendary around the world. His pipes stand for sublime quality, which is not alone owned to the incredible quality of the raw materials he uses. The shapes are more often than not based on classic shapes, which he interprets anew.
Crown Viking pipes typically have a fully or partially rusticated surface. This model features predominantly smooth surfaces. Brushed rustication is found only on one side of the bowl and on the underside.
