White Elephant is known as a solid manufacturer of pipe filters and pipe cleaners from Ettenstatt, Franconia, founded by Robert Maderholz. In Germany, White Elephant is the sole producer of pipe cleaners. There are only 3 manufacturers in all of Europe.
However, the company's roots lie in pipe making. Robert Maderholz produced pipes from 1945 to 1984. Later they specialized in filters and over the years also in cleaners.
With the help of the Kopp company, pipes were added to the range again and, in 2023, pipe tobacco.
White Elephant pipe filter with 9mm diameter, consisting of a Supermix of activated charcoal and meerschaum.
Amongst pipe smokers, meerschaum has been known for centuries because of it's ideal smoking characteristics. Heat-resistant and absorbent, this material is not only well suited for pipes, but filters too.
Two heat-resistant ceramic caps and chlorine-free paper make this filter easy and effective in handling. For a mild and dry smoke.
The Superflow filter contains 15% less material und therefore has a pleasant pulling resistance.
