Thorsten Feitt, who was born in Saarland, has been living and working in Ostallgäu (Bavaria) since 2011.
As a carpenter's apprentice and enthusiastic Lord of the Rings fan, the first attempts were made in the early 2000s to replicate the churchwarden pipes of Gandalf, Bilbo and Co. What was lost over the years was then revived and so in 2017 the pipe manufacturer Thorsten Feitt was founded. Building pipes is his passion and he loves the challenge of implementing new ideas.
In order to maintain the proportions, 9mm pipes are usually built more sturdily. For really delicate and unusual shapes, they have to be filterless. These pipes are of course technically much more complex to manufacture. This work of art shows Thorsten Feitt's skills: the innovative shape with a flat stem is very impressive. Together with the beautiful grain, it creates a WOW effect.
The mouthpiece is hand-cut ebonite.
