Denim here refers, of course, to the jeans look. But the pipes aren't just visually similar to the clothing. They also share a robust and durable surface with jeans.
The distinctive look is created first by sandblasting the surface. After the blue paint is applied, an additional sanding process is carried out, which makes the grain appear as a light briar tone against a blue background.
The sandblasting not only makes the surface robust but also provides a certain cooling effect due to the increased surface area.
