Savinelli

Der Grundstein für Savinelli wurde im Jahr 1876 gegründet, als Achille Savinelli ein Ladengeschäft in Mailand eröffnete. Im Jahr 1881 zeigte er auf einer Messe seine ersten Pfeifen unter eigenem Namen, die nach seinen Entwürfen für ihn gefertigt wurden. 1948 gründet die Familie dann eine eigene Fabrik in Molina di Barasso. Savinelli beschäftigt 35 Mitarbeiter, die 70.000 Pfeifen jährlich produzieren. Obwohl Savinelli damit weltweit zu den größten Herstellern gehört, weisen die Pfeifen eine perfekte Verarbeitung auf, die den legendären Ruf begründet. Trotz einzelner maschineller Schritte wird der Großteil der Arbeitsgänge per Hand ausgeführt und Bedarf großes Können und Erfahrung. Während viele Pfeifenfirmen dazu übergegangen sind einzelne Produktionsschritte, mitunter sogar die komplette Produktion auszugliedern, wird bei Savinelli vom ersten bis zum letzten Arbeitsschritt im eigenen Haus gefertigt. Nur so behält Savinelli, das sich nun in der fünften Generation in Familienhand befindet, die optimale Kontrolle über die Qualität, die von einer großen Liebhabergemeinde so geschätzt wird.
