Rattray's Devil's Cut – nicht nur ein großartiger Hingucker

Gesehen, verliebt, gekauft - dies die Kurzform zum Erwerb meiner Devil's Cut. Als Whiskyliebhaber fand ich die Idee des Pfeifenkopfes in Whiskyfassform etwas Besonderes. Rattray's bietet ein paar Modell dieser großartigen Pfeife an. Und das Füllvolumen? - durch die 20 mm Kopfbohrung hält sich das Füllvolumen noch in Grenzen. Ganz famos finde ich dabei, dass Rattray's keine noch größere Kopfbohrung gewählt hat, denn dies wäre eine eher „schwieriger“ zu rauchende Pfeife geworden. Nein, hier stimmt das Verhältnis von Kopfbohrung zu -höhe ganz genau. Die ersten Pfeifenfüllungen sind immer die interessantesten – man weiß nie im voraus, wie der „Endgeschmack“ der neuen Pfeife sein wird. All meine Erwartungen wurden gänzlich erfüllt. Die Verarbeitung ist gewohnt prima, die Raucheigenschaften wunderbar. „Artgerecht“ genieße ich abends dann auch gerne einen Single Malt zu dieser gelungenen Pfeife.
