Although its name suggests the North Sea, Borkum Riff originally comes from Sweden. Since the 1960s, the brand has stood for premium aromatic blends. Its international breakthrough came in 1969 with the "Bourbon Whiskey" variety, which is now marketed as the Bronze Edition. Another classic is the Ruby line with its delicate vanilla and cherry aromas. The iconic ship on the packaging—an engraving from the 17th century—is a reminder of the eponymous lighthouse in the North Sea. Since 2024, the brand has been part of the Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG).
With more than 300 years of experience, the Borkum Riff tobaccos is know and loved all over the world.
A choice of African and Philippine Black Cavendish are mixed together with Brazilian, Argentinian and Indian Virginia tobaccos. On top the tasty aroma of cherries as well as a hint of vanilla.
