more product details
The story of Brebbia began in 1947 amidst the post-World War II optimism and new beginnings. With the support of their uncle Bernardo, Enea Buzzi and Achille Savinelli joined forces to establish a pipe factory in Brebbia (Varese). As the region had been a center of pipe making since the mid-19th century, they already possessed the necessary artisanal expertise. Despite their shared successes, differing visions for design and marketing led to a split in 1953. While Savinelli opened his own factory, Buzzi continued production under the brand name MPB (Manifattura Pipe Brebbia). Even a devastating fire in 1954 couldn't stop Buzzi: he used the reconstruction period to modernize the factory and implement innovative ideas such as pipes with aluminum heat sinks.
The pipe manufacturer Brebbia has developed this innovative lighter. It has a special patented “bowl flame”, a flame for pipe bowls. Despite the fact that jet flame technology is involved here, the flame is wide and soft and well suited to lighting a pipe. The flame is stable in wind.
A three-piece pipe set can be folded out to the side.
