Brebbia

The history of Brebbia began in 1947 amidst the spirit of post-World War II renewal. Supported by their uncle Bernardo, Enea Buzzi and Achille Savinelli joined forces to establish a pipe factory in the town of Brebbia, located in Lombardy's renowned Varese province. Leveraging the region's rich artisanal traditions dating back to the mid-19th century, the duo quickly built a reputation for superior craftsmanship and design. Although differing visions led to an amicable split in 1953—with Savinelli founding his own independent brand and Buzzi continuing production under the name MPB (Manifattura Pipe Brebbia)—the company's innovative spirit remained unstoppable. Even after a devastating factory fire in 1954, Buzzi bounced back immediately, using the reconstruction to fully modernize the facility and engineer groundbreaking technical solutions, including famous pipe designs featuring aluminum heat sinks for an extraordinarily cool burn. Today, Brebbia pipes are celebrated worldwide for their flawless balance, smooth airflow, and iconic Italian shapes ranging from timeless classics to bold contemporary styles. Made from carefully aged briar and finished with meticulous care, every Brebbia pipe offers an effortless, dry, and cool smoking experience. For enthusiasts who appreciate deep historical roots paired with forward-thinking design, Brebbia remains a benchmark of fine Italian pipe-making.
