Founded in 1825 in Saint-Claude—the French mecca of pipe making—the long-established manufacturer Chapuis-Comoy (Chacom) is the oldest pipe maker in the world. Under the leadership of owner and industrial designer Antoine Grenard, Chacom combines centuries-old briar craftsmanship with designs that range from the timelessly classic to the innovative and modern.
In only very rare cases is a briar block suitable for making a pipe with straight grain. At Chacom, these blocks are personally selected by the company owner Antoine Grenard and the future shape is specified.
The result is this pipe with a fantastic grain pattern.
