From a humble leather craftsmanship shop in 1919 to one of the premier giants of the international tobacco market, Kopp Tobaccos embodies four generations of family-led excellence. Operating under the visionary leadership of Oliver and Thilo Kopp, this master manufacturing house combines century-old traditions with modern innovation to produce world-renowned pipe tobacco blends and house brands like Rattray’s.
After Stormy North accompanied us through the dark winter months, Kopp Tobaccos now ushers in the bright season with Stormy West. This new addition to the limited Small Batch Series is an homage to lightness and perfectly captures the feeling of the first warm rays of sunshine.
The base of this blend is expertly crafted. Virginia and Broken Virginia provide natural sweetness and structure. Black Cavendish and Burley ensure a smooth burn and body. Turkish Oriental tobacco lends a subtle, spicy nuance. The aroma combines citrus freshness with soft sweetness.
What makes Stormy West special is its contrasting interplay of flavors. Even upon opening the tin, a vibrant citrus freshness wafts out, instantly reminiscent of a spring morning. To prevent the zest from becoming overpowering, it is complemented by warm vanilla notes. This combination creates a surprising depth and a smooth, almost creamy finish on the palate.
This tobacco is the perfect companion for the carefree time of year. A must-have for anyone seeking the unique qualities of Kopp Small Batches and appreciating a sophisticated, flavored blend. Bring spring into your pipe – try the limited-edition Stormy West now.
