This unique Ser Jacopo #28 is a 9mm filtered pipe which was made entirely by hand in Italy.
more product details
Ser Jacopo (full name "Ser Jacopo dalla Gemma") was founded in 1982 by Giancarlo Guidi after learning his craft at Mastro de Paja.
The name and logo go back to an Italian nobleman of the Renaissance.
After the death of Giancarlo Guidi in 2012, the company was continued by his partner and supplier Maurizio Fraternale.
Ser Jacopo's pipes are generally classic, but with sometimes artistic interpretations of form and, above all, application. Creative approaches come into play, such as in the Picta series, in which the pipes are modeled on famous paintings.
All pipes bear the slogans "Fatta a mano" (Handmade) and "Per aspera ad astra" (Through hardship to the stars).
Pipes with 9mm filters are usually quite large to maintain pleasing proportions. Delicate and intricately crafted pipes, on the other hand, are visually stunning and are usually only available without a filter.
This pipe, however, is a dream come true for many filter smokers: a delicate pipe equipped with a 9mm filter option. The wood is wafer-thin at the shank and is stabilized with a precious sterling silver ring.
