The history of the factory goes back to the early 20th century. However, the name Talamona as a brand only appeared in the 1970s, when Cesare Talamona wanted to make his craft known throughout the world.
Cesare retired at the age of 85 and entrusted everything to Paolo Croci. He continues to make the pipes in the old Talamona factory and honors Cesare's legacy.
Talamona pipes are handmade pieces of high quality and easily recognizable.
The Talamona Reverse Calabash pipes are particularly popular among pipe smokers.
Bog oak is a light, subfossil wood with surprisingly good smoking properties. Today it is only found by chance, because nobody knows where exactly centuries ago oak trees were stored in bogs or gravel layers of old riverbeds. Over time, the wood reaches an almost fossil state. It turns black and porous. The light material and the porosity guarantee an absorbent pipe that stands for cool and dry smoking pleasure.
