Thorsten Feitt, who was born in Saarland, has been living and working in Ostallgäu (Bavaria) since 2011.
As a carpenter's apprentice and enthusiastic Lord of the Rings fan, the first attempts were made in the early 2000s to replicate the churchwarden pipes of Gandalf, Bilbo and Co. What was lost over the years was then revived and so in 2017 the pipe manufacturer Thorsten Feitt was founded. Building pipes is his passion and he loves the challenge of implementing new ideas.
A very well-made idea. The bowl of the pipe has an intermediate ring made of zebrano wood. The ring was put on in such a way that the combustion chamber is still made entirely of briar. This creates a highly attractive look. The end of the shank consists of acrylic and boxwood.
