The Tsuge pipes can look back on a long history. The pipe maker Kyoichiro Tsuge founded his buiseness in 1936. Interrupted by the Second World War, he continued his production in 1945. Over the decades and with a lot of engagement Tsuge became one of the most renowned pipe manufactories with its Japanese charm and highest quality. Today their company headquarters is located in Tokyo.
A tsuge with a highly interesting effect, which is known from the Roulette pipe. In the tobacco chamber, the tobacco is burned normally, while fresh tobacco can be placed in the separate lower chamber. This does not burn, but the smoke only pulls through the fresh tobacco in the chamber and thus allows unique mixing effects.
Alternatively, dry stones can also be placed in the chamber. The Spider also has a screw cap decorated with a spider that can be screwed to the bottom or upside down. This can be used to fill a pipe in advance for on the go or to close a bowl that has not been smoked to the end.
