White Elephant is known as a solid manufacturer of pipe filters and pipe cleaners from Ettenstatt, Franconia, founded by Robert Maderholz. In Germany, White Elephant is the sole producer of pipe cleaners. There are only 3 manufacturers in all of Europe.
However, the company's roots lie in pipe making. Robert Maderholz produced pipes from 1945 to 1984. Later they specialized in filters and over the years also in cleaners.
With the help of the Kopp company, pipes were added to the range again and, in 2023, pipe tobacco.

Meerschaum is known amongst pipe smokers for centuries for its ideal smoking traits. Heat resistant and absorbent, this material is not only good for pipes but also for their filters.
Two heat-resistant ceramic caps and chlorine free paper make this filter efficient and easy to handle. For a mild and dry smoke.
The superflow filter consist of 15% less material and therefore provide a pleasant drawing resistance.
