G.L. Pease

Inspired by his pipe smoking high school teacher, Gregory L. Pease learned all about pipe smoking. The interest finally culminated in founding a company with well-known mixtures together with a friend. However, it was not to end after the company ended.

G.L. Pease started his own company in 2000 with his name. The result was a success story for lovers of fine, natural pipe tobacco.

The journey of G. L. Pease is one of the most celebrated success stories in modern boutique tobacco crafting. After co-founding an earlier tobacco venture that produced acclaimed recipes, Gregory Pease established his own namesake company in early 2000 to carry his vision forward without compromise. Unlike mass-produced commercial tobaccos, G. L. Pease blends are formulated according to traditional hand-crafting methods. Greg Pease relies purely on prime-grade raw tobaccos—select Virginias, rare Oriental/Turkish leaf, rich Latakia, Perique, and Dark Fired Kentucky—without relying on heavy artificial flavorings or chemical additives. Every tin is designed with aging in mind, allowing the natural sugars and essential oils in the leaf to mature and harmonize gracefully over time. Organized into distinct series like the Fog City Selection, Old London Series, and Classic Collection, G. L. Pease offers iconic mixtures such as Chelsea Morning, Quiet Nights, Abingdon, and Union Square. Celebrated for their complex depth, exquisite balance, and cool burn, G. L. Pease tobaccos remain an essential benchmark for lovers of authentic Virginia and English Latakia mixtures.
