Luigi Viprati shaped the world of pipe makers like no other and was considered one of the most outstanding virtuosos of Italian pipe making until his death. His passion was awakened in 1972 during his military service before he founded his own workshop in 1984 and achieved worldwide fame with his extraordinary freehand skills, masterful precision and striking lines. The unmistakable trademark of a Viprati - the characteristic clef as a graduation and often fine silver applications - stands for uncompromising quality. Viprati only used first-class briar wood from the best Italian growing areas that had been stored for years. The grain of the wood always determined the final shape of the pipe bowl, resulting in incomparable unique pieces with fascinating dynamics. In addition to their impressive aesthetics, Viprati pipes impress with their flawless technology. Precisely drawn holes and a perfectly balanced draw characteristic guarantee a cool, dry and absolutely tasteless smoking experience. With a pipe from Luigi Viprati, connoisseurs and collectors acquire a piece of living pipe history and a timeless masterpiece of Italian craftsmanship.
