Trinidad
The Cuban cigar brand Trinidad is one of the finest in the world and is often mentioned in the same breath as Cohiba. Its history began in 1969, when, like its famous sister brand, it was produced exclusively for Fidel Castro's personal use and as a state gift for diplomats. This myth made it one of Cuba's most mysterious and coveted premium cigars. Named after the beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city of La Santísima Trinidad, the cigar was not released to the public until 1999. Produced in the famous El Laguito factory, Trinidad uses only the finest tobaccos from the Vuelta Abajo region. Its distinguishing feature has long been the unique Fundadores (Laguito No. 1) format, a slim, elegant appearance, masterfully rolled by Cuba's finest torcedores.
