In the year 1911 tobacco mixer Charles Rattray realized his dream and opened a tobacco shop in the old Scottish capital Perth, which within a short time became the number one address for tobacco lovers. In the back room he composed exquisite specialties, with which he please the fine gentlemen. When he died in the year 1964, his son Charles Rattray junior took over until he retired in 1980. After his death, his daughters inherited the name rights and the original recipes of the fine Rattray's tobacco lines in 1984, which today are produced under licence by the company of Kohlhase and Kopp. The range of goods is rounded by a line of classical pipes.
